What are Custom Orthotics?

Custom Orthotics are medical devices worn inside shoes to treat biomechanical foot disorders that limit your ability to walk, stand, or run. Custom orthotics can be helpful if you have flat feet, arthritis, bursitis and other foot and ankle conditions.

Our orthotics have continued to provide effective foot pain relief for our patients for years. Other types of insoles tend to wear out in a matter of months or even weeks, and they do not provide the same support as custom orthotics that are made by taking a 3-D cast impression of the patient’s foot and constructed from raw materials to each patient’s individual specifications. Our custom orthotics can typically continue to provide effective foot pain relief for years.

Compression socks and stockings for men and women

Vein compression stockings improve overall leg circulation and may even slow the progression of venous disease. They are designed to apply pressure to the lower legs and will often help relieve common varicose vein symptoms such as cramping, aching or swelling. Compression stockings compress the nonfunctioning veins and prevent blood from pooling in the legs, including blood clots in the lower legs. Compression stockings help relieve significant swelling and aching, and are recommended for men or women that:

• Have heavy, tired, painful, aching or fatigued legs
• Have had surgery
• Spend an extended time standing or sitting
• Travel frequently
• Are pregnant
• Have severe deep vein thrombosis / post thrombotic syndrome
• Have spider veins, mild edema
• Have mild to moderate varicose veins
• Have moderate/severe edema (pregnancy, risk factors)
• Have skin changes with and with out healed ulcerations
• Have severe skin changes with healed and active ulceration
• Have orthostatsis/postural hypotension

Compression stockings are available in: knee-high, thigh-high or panty hose length. Compression stockings look the same as a comfortable pair of socks and come with different pressure, depending on the amount of compression needed to treat your paarticular symptoms.
